Glacier High-Performance Ceramic Coatings
The Glacier range is a line of air-cure, high-temperature ceramic coatings formulated to withstand over 2,000°F (around 1,093°C) and thermal shock from those temperatures straight into water, with no adverse effects. We apply Glacier coatings to exhausts, manifolds, headers and turbo parts in-house at our workshop in Heybridge, Essex.
The Glacier range at a glance
- Glacier Silver (C-7700): a bright silver, sleek satin finish, rated to over 2,000°F. It keeps its look in the most extreme conditions.
- Glacier Black (C-7600): a deep, rich black with a sleek satin finish.
- Semi-gloss black: a semi-gloss black ceramic metallic finish, rated up to 870°C. It can reduce pipe skin temperatures by up to 35%, and it’s popular for blacking out motorcycle exhausts.
- Glacier Gold (C-7800): a rich gold finish, rated to 1,050°C and suited to turbocharged, supercharged and other high-performance applications.

Cast iron and mild steel parts
To offer our two-year guarantee on cast iron and mild steel parts such as manifolds and turbo housings, we apply an alloy plasma base coat under the Glacier finish. It’s an optional extra, shown on your quotation and charged at a discounted rate of 50% of our standard cost. It also helps reduce heat loss and disguise minor corrosion pitting, though it leaves a very slightly textured finish.
Process, guarantee and aftercare
Every part is blast cleaned with clean, virgin media, alcohol washed, preheated, masked where required and then coated.
Cerakote ceramic coatings carry a one-year guarantee. Our two-stage system, a plasma coat base with a Cerakote top coat, carries a two-year guarantee. Full details are on our ceramic coating guarantee page.
Please allow five full days for the coating to cure before running the part up to working temperature.
